Animal Groups Thank Supporters Of Fundraiser

Rockbridge Animal Alliance and Furever Friends Lodge would like to thank the community for making the first Wags & Whiskers Fundraiser a success with their partners at Great Valley Farm Brewery and Winery.

The event raised $5,800, which will be used to assist at-risk families and their pets through programs such as the pet food pantry, low-cost spay and neuter and veterinary assistance, in addition to the care of stray/feral cats and the adoption of local cats and kittens.

The organization also recognizes the generosity of community businesses and would like to thank Lexington Animal Hospital, The WellPet Group, C&S Disposal, Cabell Gallery of Virginia Art, Tractor Supply, Anything is Pawsable, Valvoline and CornerStone Bank for being sponsors. Thirtyfive local businesses and individuals contributed in-kind donations for the silent and live auctions.
