Martha Lea Harrison Sorrells, 83, of Buena Vista died June 20

Martha Lea Harrison Sorrells, 83, of Buena Vista, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

Born June 13, 1940, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Baxter Harrison and Mabel Hatcher Harrison.

She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amanda Brook Clark, and her siblings, Margaret Pultz, Hugh Harrison, John Henry Harrison and Gladys Duff.

 Surviving are her four children, David Sorrells (Jake), Teresa Sorrells, Tracy Sorrells Ogden (Jerry), and Holly Sorrells Moore (Vance); eight grandchildren, Derek Clark, Heather Clark, Caroline Horne, Shane Clevenger, Jorden Clevenger, Ella Moore, Sara Moore and Anna Moore; three great-grandchildren, Colten Clevenger, Caleb Clevenger, and Cayden Clevenger; and sister, Helen Bullock.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Galen Combs.  

Thanks to Kendal and hospice staff, church family, and friends for their care.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Connections Plus Hospice or the Stone Church of the Brethren.
