Virginia Brown Bennington, 86, of Rockbridge Baths died June 20

Virginia Brown Bennington, 86, of Rockbridge Baths died Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Heritage Hall.

Born July 5, 1936, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late William Jarvis and Virgie Hall Jarvis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rufus Hull Bennington, first husband Thomas Albert Hostetter, daughter Wanda Hostetter and brothers Roy and Clarence Jarvis.

Virginia retired from Lexington Country Club as a cook.

Surviving are her children, Thomas Hostetter, Gary Hostetter and Carolyn Sue Lilly; and sisters, Mary Frances Irvine and Callie Jarvis.

There will be a private service at a later date.
