Ola Mae Coffey, 87, of Fishersville died June 26

 

Ola Mae Coffey, 87, of Fishersville died Monday, June 26, 2023, at Augusta Medical Center.

Born Oct. 29, 1935, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Everette Edwin Mannon and Edna Arbutues Claytor Mannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berman C. "Cotton" Coffey; son, Gary W. Coffey; sister, Doris Quick; brother, Edwin Mannon; and grandchild, Amy Nicole Eavey.

Ola was a member of the Stuarts Draft Baptist Church and retired from Dupont Inc. in Quality Control.

Surviving are her children, James E. Coffey (Susan), Sadonna L. Coffey, and Kimberly C. Harris (Steven); sister, Juanita Rice (Robert); grandchildren, Ray E. Coffey (Crystal), Heather H. Griffin (Wesley), Isaac W. Eavey (Tara), and Sara N. Eavey; and great-grandchildren, Kyle Coffey, Kody Coffey, Madison Eavey and Tayler Griffin.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, at Harrison Funeral Chapel. The funeral officiant will be Donald Garris. Burial will follow at Glasgow Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Harrison Funeral Home and at other times at the home of daughter Kim Harris, 585 Old White Hill Road, Stuarts Draft.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
