BOBBY BRADS

Robert “Bobby” Wayne Brads, 81, of Buena Vista passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

He was born June 14, 1942, in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Arthur Hampton Brads Jr. and Frances Floyd Brads.

He was a member of Glasgow Presbyterian Church. Bobby retired from Georgia Pacific after 42 years of service. He was also the owner of the Corner Grill for 10 ½ years. Bobby enjoyed spending his free time on the golf course and traveling with his wife, Susan.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Fred Brads.

Surviving are his wife, Susan O’Connell Brads; children, David Brads and wife Patricia Ellington Brads and Tracy Brads-Chittum and husband Robert Andrew Chittum Jr.; five grandchildren, Ethan Chittum, Lincoln Brads, Will Grennon, Nina Woodall, and Bonnee Grennon; three great-grandchildren; brother, Steven Brads; and sister, Faye Brads Massie.

A graveside service was conducted Saturday, June 24, at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Howard Boswell Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Presbyterian Church.
