Glasgow Baptist Church wrapped up its week of VBS on Friday evening with a final joint session in the auditorium, with family members of the kids in attendance. When the children went to their classrooms for a final Bible story, the Rev. Don Cockes of Salem, strategist at SBC of Virginia, spoke with the family and relatives. Cockes works with Southern Baptist churches that are searching for full-time pastors, and has been working with the Pastor Search Committee at GBC as they seek a full-time pastor. Everyone then joined together in the social area for hot dogs and a time of fellowship.
