Fiddlers Convention Winners Announced

The 29th annual Maury River Fiddlers Convention was held June 16 and 17 at Glen Maury Park in Buena Vista. Winners in the various competitions are as follows: Bluegrass Band – Garden Variety Band of Richmond, first place; Happy Valley Boys of Lexington, second; Cannabis Mountain Boys of Eagle Rock, third.

Best All-Around Old-time Performer – Rebecca Bryant of Madison Heights.

Old Time Fiddle – Billy Gurley of Lancaster, first; Bill Willington of Staunton, second; Nancy Reid of Montvale, third.
