A Buena Vista General District Court judge has issued a capias warrant for Gregory Allan Kersey, 45, of Buena Vista after Kersey failed to appear in court for a hearing last Thursday.
Kersey is one of three individuals facing charges in relation to a home invasion in Buena Vista in January which resulted in city officials issuing a shelter in place order while a search for Kersey was conducted.
The other two suspects, Tytray Martin, 44, of Highland Springs and Dakota Camden, 19, of Roanoke, had hearings in Buena Vista General District Court on May 18, with charges of armed burglary, conspiracy to commit armed burglary and assault and battery against both defendants being certified to an upcoming grand jury. Charges of obstruction of justice against both were dismissed and a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon against Martin was not certified.

Casey Lynn Camden, 44, for one count of entering a dwelling with intent to commit assault and battery, larceny, or a felony other than murder, rape, arson or robbery on March 16, 2023.
