Steve Gregory Johnson, 70, of Lexington died Friday, July 14, 2023, at Lewis Gale Medical Center.
Born in Goochland County on Aug. 29, 1952, he was the son of William Stevenson Johnson and Helen Deacon Johnson.
Steve graduated from Lexington High School, class of 1970 and was a member of Mt. Horeb Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Ayers Johnson.
Surviving Mr. Johnson are his daughter, Brandy Nicole Johnson (Benji); son, Dustin Travis Johnson; four grandchildren; special cousins, Donnie Smith, Diane Walker, Dennis Smith, Dale Smith, Delma Tingler, Donnie Johnson, Sheila Jones, Stuart, Jerry and Phil Deacon; and special friends, Kevin Dempske and George Dudley. He also leaves behind his beloved hunting dog, Cookie.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Arnold Bradley. Burial will follow at Johnson Farm Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
