Mary Frances Hall “Fanny” Rhodenizer, 83, of Lexington, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Augusta Health. She was born Sept. 14, 1939 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of James Coleman Hall and Ida Mae Reid Hall.

Mary Frances Hall “Fanny” Rhodenizer, 83, of Lexington, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Augusta Health. She was born Sept. 14, 1939 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of James Coleman Hall and Ida Mae Reid Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Herbert A. Rhodenizer, Jr.; brother, James Edward Hall Sr.; and three sisters, Elizabeth Stern, Haseltine H. Crigler and Ida Marie Paxton.

Mary Frances was a faithful member of Oxford Presbyterian Church and retired with over 40 years of service from Sigma Nu International Headquarters.

Surviving are her husband, Herbert Arnold Rhodenizer; daughter, Stephanie Black (Bobby); one granddaughter, Sydney Black; and sister, Mae H. Layne.

A private graveside service was conducted at Oxford Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Marina Gopadze. Visitation was private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Oxford Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, 143 Oxford Lane, Lexington, VA 24450.
