CAROLINE NORRINGTON

Caroline Winslow Norrington, 90, of Cary, N.C., formerly of Natural Bridge, passed away at Glenaire Retirement Community on July 30, 2023. She was born in New Bedford, Mass., on June 11, 1933.

She was a graduate of Tufts University. She was a lifelong educator and retired from teaching in Virginia Beach.

She was an avid reader, animal lover and master gardener.

She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Charles Gilbert Norrington, a career naval officer.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Gilbert Norrington Jr. and Barbara Allen of Durham, N.C., George Dyer Norrington and Krista Grow of Glen Allen. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Eric Charles Norrington (Jesci), G. Dyer Norrington, II (Kristen), Leslie Norrington Smith (Justin), Brett William Norrington (Michele) and Colin Patrick Norrington. She was also blessed with five greatgrandchildren, Ella Norrington, Carter and Cameron Smith, Paige and Graham Norrington.
