Two of the three men involved in a breaking and entering in Buena Vista in January were indicted by a Buena Vista Grand Jury last week. Tytray Lamont Martin, 45, of Highland Springs and Dakota Ryan Camden, 19, of Roanoke, were each indicted on one count of burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary in relation to an incident that occurred at a residence on 4th Street and Sycamore Avenue on Jan. 26.
A third suspect, Gregory Allen Kersey, 45, of Buena Vista, eluded capture for most of the day, resulting in a shelter in place order being instituted throughout the city. Kersey failed to appear in Buena Vista General District Court on July 13 for a preliminary hearing on the charges he is facing in connection with the incident, and a capias warrant was issued for his arrest.
Martin is scheduled to be arraigned in Buena Vista Circuit Court on Aug. 4 and Camden is scheduled to enter a guilty plea on Sept. 25. -The following individuals were also indicted by a Buena Vista Grand Jury last Wednesday, July 26: Jonathan Edward Prescott Hemmings, 39, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) on Feb. 17, 2023 and one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine), one count of abuse or neglect of a child (reckless endangerment) and one count of endangering a child while having custody on March 25, 2023.
Travis Dayne Taylor, 42, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) and one count of possessing a firearm while in possession of a schedule I or II drug on March 22, 2023.
Keri Ilene Mohler, 33, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) on Jan. 9, 2023 and one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) and one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute on Feb. 26, 2023.
John Travis Cash, 40, for one count of carrying a concealed weapon as a convicted felon on Feb. 18, 2023, and one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) on March 3, 2023.
Steven Francis Costanzo, 50, for one count of distribution of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine), one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug (methamphetamine) and one count of possession of a firearm while possessing a schedule I or II drug on Feb. 26, 2023.
Dylan McKenzie Banks, 23, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on June 4, 2023.
Amy Leigh Bryant, 36, for one count of abuse or neglect of a child (reckless endangerment) on March 25, 2023.
Jonathan Ray Finley, 45, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on April 19, 2023.
