Mikhala Stafford, director of community outreach for Project Horizon, will talk about child trafficking in the local area, risk factors and red flags on Thursday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m. at the Rockbridge Regional Library.

During a recent workshop, Rockbridge Regional Library System staff were surprised to learn from Project Horizon Executive Director, Judy Casteele, that trafficking is an issue right here at home. As a result, Stafford was invited to present the issue to the public and provide vital information about prevention and early intervention. She’ll share resources for digital safety, digital literacy and online protection, and will take questions from the audience.
