We will be collecting school supplies for Natural Bridge Elementary School. We would like to collect 200 24-count boxes of crayons, 200 pink pearl erasers, 200 single subject notebooks, 400 white board markers and 1,000 pencils. We will have a collection bin available outside the sanctuary.

Nathan and Lora Welsh, our missionaries to Albania, will be doing a presentation at church on Aug. 13 at 4 p.m. to tell us about their ministry. A fellowship dinner will follow. Church family, if you are able, please bring a fruit or dessert.

The youths will be getting together Aug. 27 after church to go to Goshen. All middle school or high school youth are invited and can bring a friend.

The Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club met on Tuesday, July 18, at New Monmouth. Christy Harris gave an informative talk about financial planning and getting your affairs in order.

Many thanks to all who helped with the chuckwagon at the Balloons Over Rockbridge event.

The club will have a golf tournament at the Lexington Golf & Country Club on Tuesday, Aug. 8. S hotgun start is at 9:30 a.m. If you would like to support or have questions, contact Gary or Dianne Swink at [email protected] or Christy Harris at christy. [email protected] Chris Cartwright, president of Sam Houston and Effinger Ruritan clubs, was in attendance. He presented a joint project with the Effinger and Kerrs Creek Clubs.

The next club meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 6:30 p.m. at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church.
