Many thanks to Dave VanOsten and the Rev. Dr. Bob Copenhaver for leading a service of morning prayer with Holy Eucharist this past Sunday at St. John’s Episcopal Church and to Bert Buford and Josh Gardner for providing music for the service. Thanks also to Lynn Williams for hosting coffee hour.

Some area residents joined several other people all along the parkway this weekend especially near the Arnolds Valley overlooks and Thunder Ridge where there is a clear view of the night sky to watch the annual Perseid Meteor Shower.
