BUENA VISTA CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING August 17th 2023

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Sections 15.2-2204 and 15.2-1800, and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the City Council of the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters. 1) Zoning Text Amendment for the Institutional Zone to update permitted and conditional uses, dimensional regulations, and outdoor lighting. The Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2039 Sycamore Ave, Buena Vista VA 24416. The meeting begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 17th 2023. TO REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR AN EDUCATIONAL FACILITY/FAMILY HOME DAY CARE AT 10 N. LEWIS STREET, TAX MAP#s 24-5-B & 24-5-C A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington Planning Commission at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 24, 2023 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to review a Conditional Use Permit application to allow an educational facility/ primary/secondary or a family home day care at 10 N. Lewis Street in Lexington, Virginia. A copy of the application is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located on the second floor of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street. CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

The City of Lexington and Threshold Housing Commission are seeking public input on a proposed city- wide housing conditions windshield survey and needs assessment. The City intends to apply for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Planning Grant funds through the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development to source the proposed project. Threshold Housing Commission will hold a public input meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd at 5pm. The meeting will be held in the City Hall 2nd Floor Meeting Room, 300 E. Washington Street. At the meeting, Threshold Housing Commission along with the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission will provide an overview of the proposed CDBG Planning Grant as well as potential future activities related to housing conditions in the City. The meeting will serve as a forum for the public to address any concerns related to the proposed project and share feedback on housing-related needs in Lexington.
