Walter Vernon Neese, 65, of Glasgow died Aug. 17

Walter Vernon Neese, 65, of Glasgow went to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023.

Born Sept. 28, 1957, in Radford, he was a son of the late James Paul Neese and Helen Aldine Bolding Talbott.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia K. Neese Henderson; brother, James Paul Neese Jr.; and Dreamboat Annie (his cat).

Vernon was a member of Appalachian Conference IPHC. He was a beloved father, pastor, and friend to many.

Surviving are his children, Alicia J. Neese of Glasgow, and Amanda Neese of Silver Spring, Md.; silblings, Greg Neese (Rickie), and Bill Talbott (Jenine); and special feline companion Kitty Baby.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Lexington Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor George H. Close Jr. officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Rockbridge ASPCA.
