Juanita M. Moore, 73, of Lexington died Aug. 26

Juanita M. “Nita” Moore, 73, of Lexington died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Berkshire Health & Rehab in Vinton.

Born July 28, 1950, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late William Ross Moore and Edith Vest Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Michael Moore; one brother, Steve Moore; and one sister, Rhonalda M. Hostetter.

Juanita was a wonderful and caring wife and mother.  She enjoyed being a caregiver to several elderly people in the Lexington area.

Surviving are one son, Michael Darrin Moore; and two brothers, Buddy Patterson (Jeanie) of Vinton and William Moore of Richmond.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Randy Clark. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Garden.
