Kendal at Lexington has announced its collaboration with the Valley Program for Aging Services to present a program titled “Everything You Wanted to Know About Dementia But Were Afraid to Ask.”
The event is scheduled for Sept. 14 at 1:30 p.m. and will take place at Kendal Hall.
The event is free of charge and open to all members of the community who are interested in learning more about dementia, whether they are caregivers, family members, health care professionals or simply curious individuals seeking knowledge.
Dementia, a topic of growing concern within our aging population, can be confusing and challenging for both individuals living with it and their caregivers. In light of this, Kendal at Lexington has joined forces with VPAS to host a program designed to demystify dementia and equip attendees with valuable insights, information and support.
The event will address a wide range of topics related to dementia, including its various types, common misconceptions, the latest research and treatments and effective caregiving strategies.
To tailor the program to address specific concerns and queries, Kendal at Lexington encourages participants to submit their dementia-related questions and scenarios in advance. Questions can be emailed to [email protected], and the speakers will make efforts to incorporate them into the discussion.
