Faith Baptist Church is having a Men’s Prayer Breakfast this morning at 8. Faith Kidz will be Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. Faith will also be having a clothes closet event coming up on Sept. 16.

Many thanks to the Rev. Jan Fuller for leading a service of Holy Eucharist this past Sunday at St. John’s Episcopal Church and for music provided by Bert Buford on organ and Josh Gardner on euphonium. Thanks also to the Skillicorn family for hosting coffee hour.

It’s time again for St. John’s Episcopal Church’s annual Boys’ Home camping and kayaking weekend! Special thanks to Christ Church in Buena Vista for graciously providing dinner Saturday evening at camp. The riverbank church service on Sunday, Sept. 3, at Glasgow Landing will be led by the Rev. Anne Grizzle with a goal start time of 11:30 a.m. The boys will be kayaking down the James River from Natural Bridge Station to join the service. Please don’t forget to bring a chair or blanket if you wish. A joint church lunch of fried chicken, sides and desserts will be served back at St. John’s at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome to the river service and the lunch back at the parish hall!
