Thank you to the praise team and Laura Hotinger for leading the congregation in singing “Holy Spirit” Sunday morning at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. Thank you to the kids who helped collect the 4-cents-a-meal offering to benefit the food bank.

Thanks you to everyone who donated school supplies or funds to purchase supplies. We still need notebooks and dry erase markers to send to Natural Bridge Elementary.

Next week we will continue to have 10 a.m. worship. On Sept. 10 regular church hours will begin again. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m. and church service at 11. Children’s music will begin again Sept. 10 after church. Choir practice will resume after Sept. 10.

The church potluck picnic at Hotinger Creek returns on Sept. 17. Come on out to play in the creek, enjoy food and fellowship, and to share communion together. We will gather at 5, but feel free to come early for creek time.

New Monmouth is hosting a renewal weekend at the church Nov. 3-5. Friday will be a time for fellowship. On Saturday, Nov. 4, we will have opportunities to grow and learn together, including hearing from author and professor Karen Swallow Prior. We will have Music Sunday on Nov. 5.
