On a new firetruck dedicated to his memory the day before, members of the Glasgow Volunteer Fire Department gave former chief and life member Roger Bradley his last ride to Rockbridge Memorial Gardens on Aug. 28. Lexington and Buena Vista firefighters posed their ladder trucks at the entrance to the cemetery and stood in salute as he rode by. Bradley, who died Aug. 24, served as chief in 1970 and 1972 and president in 1967-69 and 1978-80 during his over 59 years of service. He served during the major floods of 1969, 1972 and 1985.
