Making Way At W&L

Davis and Baker Halls at Washington and Lee University along the south side of Washington Street have now been demolished as the university makes way for the new Williams School of Commerce building, which is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. Demolition of Davis Hall began the first full week of August (seen at right) and the remnants of Baker Hall were being cleaned up this week (above). (Darryl Woodson photos)
