Ticket sales for the Shenandoah Valley Limited excursion, pulled by the famous Northern & Western 611 engine, are still available, but are going fast, according to Steve Powell, president of Virginia Scenic Railway.
Powell told The News-Gazette late last week that he was “confident that they’ll be sold out” before the first excursion on Oct. 6. Tickets went on sale Aug. 22.
The excursions will run from Goshen to Staunton and back twice a day every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, as well as the first weekend in November.
Tickets range from $99 to $249 and can be purchased online at https://www.virginiascenicrailway. com/rides.
The News-Gazette will have details about preparations for the excursions in upcoming editions.
