JOANN HUFFMAN

Joann Dixon Huffman, 89, of Lexington died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023.

Born April 14, 1934, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. Dixon and Agnes Link Dixon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer Huffman, and her son, Brian Huffman.

Joann was a wonderful and caring daughter, mother and grandmother. She had a very deep religious faith and was very active in her church.

Surviving is her son, David I. Huffman (Priscilla), and two daughters, Susan H. Ciannavel (Marc) and Melissa H. Gaines (Tom); grandchildren, Whitson Huffman (Alexandra), Amanda Huffman, Walker Huffman, Katya (Derick) Wheeler, Ivy Totty, Atticus Clarke, Henry Ciannavel and Leo Ciannavel; as well as several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in her memory to Four Square Gospel Church. N-G
