4:30 p.m. Friday - Three individuals have been charged in connection with the incident that led to a shelter-in-place order in
Dakota Camden, 18, of Roanoke; Gregory Kersey, 44, of Buena Vista; and Tytray Martin, 44, of Highland Springs, are being held without bond in the Rockbridge Regional Jail. All three individuals are charged with two felony charges of burglary (breaking and entering with intent to commit robbery), as well as two misdemeanor charges: one count of assault and battery and one count of obstruction of justice. Additionally, Martin has been charged with one count of possession of a weapon by a non-violent felon.

5:30 p.m. Thursday - The incident that led to a heavy police presence in the vicinity of Fourth Street and Linden Avenue in Buena Vista has concluded with the apprehension of the last individual police were seeking.
All of the Buena Vista city schools had been in lockdown from late in the morning until mid-afternoon. Then, students were allowed to be picked up by parents or designated people. School buses did not run this afternoon.
A total of three people have reportedly been arrested in connection with the incident. Until the third and final suspect was apprehended, residents in the neighborhood where the incident took place had been asked to remain inside of their homes.
Police released the following statement at about 4:45 p.m.:
“All persons have been apprehended for the incident at 4th St. and Linden Avenue in the city of Buena Vista. We would like to express our gratitude to the public for your vigilance and assistance with the apprehension of the subjects.”
