GEARY STATON

Geary Lester Staton, 70, of Buena Vista, passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Formerly of Tennessee, he came home to Buena Vista to b e w ith f amily. H e w as the son of the late Lester and Irene Staton of Buena Vista.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Harry and William Cash, and two sisters, Margie Hardin and Sue Jewell.

Surviving are his loving sisters, Carmen Higgins (Jimmy) of Lexington, Jean Newell (Butch) of Buena Vista, Brenda Dexter of Buena Vista, Penny Rowsey of Staunton, and Joanne Floyd of Hampton; brother, Robert Cash (Brenda) of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per the family, burial will be private at Green Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
