Burr Datz led the 11 a.m. worship service at Collierstown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Sept. 17. Lisa Knudson was the guest pianist. The Presbyterian Women will hold their fall meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All women are invited to attend.

On Thursday, Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. BARC will hold a town hall meeting open to the public in the fellowship hall at Collierstown Presbyterian Church. The purpose of the event will be to discuss high-speed internet service for the Collierstown area. BARC will provide an update on the process.

Plans are underway for Collierstown United Methodist Church’s homecoming celebration on Oct. 7-8 at the church. On Saturday evening, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. there will be program of special music provided by the Ladies of Mercy in the church sanctuary followed by a time of fellowship and light refreshments. On Sunday, Oct. 8, the 183rd homecoming celebration will be held with guest minister the Rev. Doug Mitchell speaking at the 11 a.m. service. The Rev. Mitchell served as minister of the church from 2010 until 2013. A covered-dish luncheon will follow the worship hour.

The congregation of the Union View Advent Christian Church would like to thank all who attended the church’s homecoming event on Sunday, Sept. 10. Those in attendance enjoyed the covered-dish luncheon and the entertainment by the Dorsey Hostetter Tri-County Bluegrass band. The reading of the historical background of the church was a part of the day’s celebration.
