Brianna Stinnett has been hired as the administrative assistant and Tammy Cash as financial director for the town of Glasgow. The town attorney, Grace Crickenbarger, meanwhile, has given her notice, effective in two weeks.
The annual Trunk-or-Treat event is planned for Saturday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Locher Pavilion. Glasgow Baptist Church is planning a Fall Outreach Festival on the 28th, from 2 to 5 p.m. with games, prizes, hot chocolate, candy and hot apple cider. Bring the family by the church parking lot some fun activities, then move over to Locher Pavilion for Trunk-or-Treating, games and food. In case of inclement weather, the church event will move inside.
The Farmers’ Market has closed for the season. They had five vendors on Friday, and four on Saturday. The produce is no longer available, only crafters, and one with eggs. They are thankful for all the support from vendors who participated and the community for shopping there. The vendor family was troubled with various health issues during the season, and we pray they all get healthy in the off-season, and come back next year even better than before.
