God’s Circle of Fruit youth group took an afternoon outing to go hiking at Devil’s Marbleyard. They had a great time together jumping on the rocks. Thank you to Tim and Janeen Welsh, their fearless leaders!

New Monmouth Presbyterian church had a church picnic at the creek on Sunday afternoon. A huge thank you to Laura and Donald Hotinger for hosting us at their beautiful creek and home! We celebrated communion down by the water, and enjoyed a potluck, campfire, fellowship and lots of fun together.

The New Monmouth Praise Choir is working hard at their music, prac ticing their singing as well as their ringing. The NMPC invited ringers, or as we like to call them “ding-a-lings,” to join them in playing the handbells. We meet Sundays after church when Laura Hotinger is in town.

New Monmouth will have a memorial service to celebrate the life of Bob Moore on Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. Church members are invited to bring finger foods or desserts for a reception to follow the service.

There will be a congregational meeting on Oct. 15 to elect a nominating committee.

There will be a renewal weekend Nov. 3-5. We will host Karen Swallow Prior on Saturday afternoon at 2.

Music Sunday will be Nov. 5 with a luncheon to follow. The church will provide chicken ‒ please bring a side dish or dessert to share.
