Guest speaker at Glasgow Baptist Church this past week was the Rev. Caleb Couch. Next week will be Jake Byrd. The church has lost yet another member. Shirley Wood, wife of Charlie Mac Wood, passed away this past week. One month ago deacon and trustee Roger Bradle, also passed on to his Heavenly home.
Glasgow will be getting a newer version of an older business in the future. Land has been purchased along Va. 130 for a new Dollar General.
The next Community Meals in our area are scheduled for Oct. 11, at the Thompson Center in Glasgow, and on Oct. 25 at the Natural Bridge Fire Department. These are offered free of charge to the public, but donations are appreciated.
