Betty Jane Taliaferro Hayslett, 96, of Lexington died Sept. 21

Betty Jane Taliaferro Hayslett, 96, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023.

Born July 23, 1927, in Clifton Forge, she was a daughter of the late George Taliaferro and Edith Brooks Taliaferro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cornelius Hayslett.

Surviving are her daughter, Rebecca Barnett of Alabama; nieces, Peggy Walton of Richmond and Kaki Higgins of Clifton Forge; closest life-time friend, Anne Tuttle, of Washington state; and special friends and caregivers of 14 years, Betty and Robert Ramsey of Lexington.

Service will be private.
