Nellie Louise Hostetter, 93, of Fairfield died Sept. 27

Nellie Louise Hostetter, 93, of Fairfield passed away Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at Augusta Nursing & Rehab.

Born March 30, 1930, in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Hartless and Eva Floyd Hartless.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gillie Hostetter; four sisters, Ola, Annie, Kathrine and Lucille; one brother, Eugene; and a daughter, Frances Deeter.

Surviving children are Billy, Betty, Michael, Curtis and Carl; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Nellie was a hardworking and loving mother and will be greatly missed.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. Burial will be at the Methodist church, 137 McCurdy Lane, Rockbridge Baths.

Visitation will be Monday, Oct. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Harrison Funeral Home.

Donations can be made to Fairfield Rescue Squad instead of flowers.
