Mary Lou Montgomery Simmons, 67, of Lexington died Sept. 29

Mary Lou Montgomery Simmons, 67, of Lexington died Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born May 6, 1956, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Baxter Montgomery and Dorothy Lee Kirby Montgomery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Vernon Lee Montgomery.

Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Roger Lee Simmons; sister, Zola Goodbar (H.V.); and brothers, David Montgomery (Phyllis) and Montie Ray Montgomery.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Harrison Funeral Home by Pastor Burr Datz. Burial will be private.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
