ConnectionsPlus Healthcare and Hospice offers homebased health care services to our community, taking a holistic approach to care for those who are living with serious illness or in need of hospice care. We are more than just hospice; we offer an advanced integrated care program which provides social support to our neighbors living with serious illnesses that are not ready for hospice services.

We also offer bereavement and counseling services, workshops and seminars to the community regardless if our other services have been used.

To prepare and organize financial, medical, estate planning, advance directive, legal and other information that will be needed in time of crisis or emergency, we are excited to offer “Ducks in a Row.”

This six-session series is adapted from Karen Purze’s book “Life in Motion” and is valuable for people of all ages who have not gathered this information on their own.

“Ducks in a Row” will be held approximately monthly for six months at Maury River Senior Services, 2137 Magnolia Ave., Buena Vista. The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 9:30 to 11 am. Space is limited and registration is required. The series has a fee of $20 to cover the cost of the materials, which is a binder for the attendees to use to organize their information.

During the classes, we have guest speakers, including a financial adviser, an attorney, a clinician, and a spiritual counselor. We have great discussions as a group surrounding each of the topics. At the end of each class, over the next month participants gather the information that was presented to put in their binder.

We are grateful to be able to offer this valuable service to the community in the areas we serve. We always receive very positive feedback from the attendees and truly enjoy connecting with our neighbors.

To register for “Ducks in a Row” call ConnectionsPlus Healthcare and Hospice at (540) 463-1848 or email [email protected].
