PM Hosts Relays

The Parry McCluer High School cross country teams hosted the Parry McCluer Relay Meet on Wednesday of last week.

The race was a two-by-two-mile relay. The relays were a mix of girls, boys, and middle school groups from PM and Pioneer District rivals Bath County, Eastern Montgomery and Highland.

Kovyk Chandler and Josh Cooper won the boys’ relay race with a time of 20:59. In the individual category, Kovyk Chandler won by running a time of 10:05 for his two miles, and Kebryl Chandler followed with a mark of 10:13.

In the girls’ event, Jasmine De Souza and Kyra Lee ran their relay for a time of 27:15.

The Blues will next compete in the MileStat.com XC Invitational in Mechanicsville on Saturday, Oct. 14.
