Collierstown UMC Marks Homecoming

Homecoming will be observed on Sunday, Oct. 8, at Collierstown United Methodist Church.

This is the 183rd homecoming for the church that was organized in 1840. The current pastor is the Rev. William Bearden.

The celebration will begin on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 6 p.m. with a hymn sing featuring the Ladies of Mercy. Refreshments will be served at intermission.

Former pastor W. Douglas Mitchell will bring the message on Sunday morning, followed by a covered-dish luncheon.

This will be a joint service of the Collierstown United Methodist Charge including Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.
