Rebecca “Becky” Bartley Strecker, 69, of Fairfield died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, surrounded by family.

She was born March 2, 1954, in Lexington to William Arthur Bartley and Clara Dell Dunaway Brown.

As a dedicated travel agent with Cruise Planners for 27 years, Becky helped thousands of people make memories on their vacations. She loved cruising, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren more than anything.

Becky is survived by her husband of 35 years, Martin “Marty” Strecker; children Norman Vest Jr. of Fredericksburg, Jennifer Showalter (Ruben) of Fairfield, Julie Tyree (Steven) of South River, Jamie Youngblood (Ora) of Collierstown, and Christopher Strecker of Fairfield; grandchildren Taylor Tyree, Anthony Showalter, Kelsee Tyree, Katie Showalter, Ashley Tyree, Mason Vest, Brady Tyree, and Oakley Strecker; brothers Wayne Bartley (Tina) of Greenville, Delmas Bartley (Debbie) of Spotsylvania, and Greg Bartley (Candace) of Dunlap, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited for visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Greg Bartley. Burial will follow at Timber Ridge A.R. Presbyterian Church Cemetery. N-G
