Thank you to Pastor Nancy Clark, Casey Clarkâs mother, for preaching and leading worship on Sunday at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church while Casey and Rachel were away on study leave. Thanks to all who made Sunday run smoothly with Sunday school and music. The youth group met on Sunday at the church. Thanks to Janeen and Sarah for leading.
Children will meet after church next Sunday for music practice There will be a congregational meeting next Sunday, Oct. 15, to elect a nominating committee.
Do you have used greeting cards that you are willing to donate? The youth group is working on an activity that requires recycled greeting cards, especially cards with fall or nature scenes and Thanksgiving pictures. If anyone has some to donate for the craft project, please let Janeen Welsh know. She would need those by the end of this month.
Just under a month until our renewal weekend at New Monmouth Presbyterian. It will be a weekend of fellowship, food, singing, learning, and discussing together. We welcome anyone from the community who is interested in participating. Activities will begin with chili and campfire songs on Friday. We will have two opportunities for learning and conversation on Saturday, including our special speaker, Karen Swallow Prior, on Nov. 4 at 2 p.m., and concluding with music Sunday and potluck.
