Chamber Music Concerts Announced

The Chamber Music Society of Lexington is presenting two upcoming concerts at Grace Episcopal Church, 123 W. Washington St., Lexington.

The first, “Music of the Southern Hemisphere,” occurs Saturday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m.. University of Richmond guitar instructor Cory Blake, Richmond flutist Amy Blake, and Washington D.C. pianist Dr. James DeWire will join local musicians Dr. Mark Gallagher, Dr. Jakob Hofer, Martha Jones Burford, Julia Evans, Emma Vasquez, and Susan Falconer in presenting works by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Daisy Fragoso, Roberto Sierra, Miguel del Águila, Leo Brouwer, and Cory Blake.

The second concert is taking place Saturday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. Featured will be international clarinet trio Deutsch-Amerikanisches Klarinettentrio: Dr. Mark Gallagher, Jeffery Boehmer, and Hendrik Wüster. For more information, contact Martha Jones Burford at martha@ gracelexva.org.
