Thanks to the Rev. Stan Ogden who brought the morning message this past Sunday, Oct. 8, at High Bridge Presbyterian Church. Linda Trombo of Covington will be the guest speaker Sunday, Oct.15.
High Bridge Sunday school classes are off to a great start with the following teachers: pre-school through first grade, Mary Carson Worley and Dwinnie Shafer; second through fourth grades, Carol Tolley and Connie Powell; fifth through eighth grades, Christy Black, Leigh Ann McCoy, Sarah Smith and Sheryl West. For high school students, the gathering is the first of each month with John McCoy, Tom Thompson and Brad Myers. The empty nesters class is led by Faye Worley, while Bob Gilbert leads the kitchen class.
Weekday Religious Education will be hosting a themed basket bingo on Nov. 4 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Natural Bridge firehouse. This will include bingo, along with a bake sale, 50/50, gift tickets and meals to purchase. Additional information will follow in next week’s news.
Attending the Peaks Fall Gathering at Second Presbyterian Church in Roanoke recently were Carol Tolley and Connie Powell.
The Natural Bridge Ruritan Club is planning a Halloween cakewalk to be held at the Natural Bridge firehouse. More information will follow next week.
The Natural Bridge/Glasgow Food Pantry board members will meet Monday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. at Beth Horan United Methodist Church. At this meeting, plans will be made for Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions. All supporting churches are encouraged to send their voting representatives. Guests are always welcome.
