For Ayers

Oct. 9, 2023 Editor, The News-Gazette: I write to strongly encourage our neighbors and friends in the Buffalo District to vote for Leslie Ayers’ reelection to the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors.

Leslie is a dedicated and experienced public servant. She has served our community with distinction as supervisor these past four years as well as served the community through Friends of Rockbridge Swimming, along with past service at Boxerwood, Project Horizon, and as a teacher and swimming coach for many years. She serves on the Public Safety Committee, RARO, Community Development Committee, the Blue Ridge Resource Authority and Tourism Board.

Leslie’s door is always open to questions from the community and spends much time assisting any and all residents with their concerns. Our county services, such as water, fire and rescue, public works and others are run efficiently keeping taxes reasonable. The county maintains a strong credit rating, important to borrowing when needed at low rates.

Leslie is hardworking, caring, respectful and dedicated to public service. Her strong values serve us well.
