Larry Wayne Gibson Sr., 62, of Natural Bridge Station died Oct. 10

Larry Wayne Gibson Sr., 62, of Natural Bridge Station died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, at his home.

Born Nov. 18, 1960, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Alex Arthur Gibson Jr. and Kathleen Dudley Gibson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Dean Gibson

He was employed at Mohawk Industries for 39 years in the mixing department.  Larry loved hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Bryant Gibson; six children, Larry Wayne Gibson Jr., Latasha Gibson, Dewayne Gibson, Harley Gibson, Selena Gibson and Sarah Gibson; two stepchildren, Amanda Hinkle (Willie), and Danielle Butler (Daniel); siblings, Patricia Gibson, Kay Thorne, Sarah Murphy, Jamie Gibson, Kenny Gibson and Donald Gibson; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Bostic officiating.
