In a bid to provide a supportive and transformative environment for individuals dealing with life’s hurts, habits and hang-ups, Rockbridge Community Church of the Nazarene has initiated the Rockbridge Celebrate Recovery Group. This program aims to offer solace and recovery opportunities for those facing various challenges, including addiction, anxiety, and life’s struggles.
The inaugural session of the Rockbridge Celebrate Recovery Group took place on Oct. 6 and is scheduled to take place every Friday night from 6 to 8 at Rockbridge Community Church of the Nazarene, located at 906 Magnolia Ave., Buena Vista.
The Celebrate Recovery Group is designed to provide a safe space for individuals aged 18 and older, where they can openly discuss their struggles and work towards recovery. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in supportive discussions, share their personal experiences, and receive guidance from trained facilitators.
The program follows the Celebrate Recovery model, which incorporates the principles of the well-known 12-step program, providing a Christ-centered approach to recovery. The group will address a variety of issues, including but not limited to substance abuse, grief, codependency, and past traumas.
“We believe that everyone, regardless of their struggles, can find hope and support through faith and community. The Celebrate Recovery Group is a testament to our commitment to creating a welcoming space for healing and growth,” said Past Scott Beattie.
Individuals interested in attending the Celebrate Recovery Group are encouraged to arrive a little earlier to get acquainted with others who are there to provide encouragement and support. Confidentiality and privacy are paramount, ensuring that attendees feel secure
