BGAV Director Speaking At BV Baptist

Dr. Wayne D. Faison, executive director of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV), will be the guest speaker at Buena Vista Baptist Church this Sunday morning, Oct. 22, during the worship hour.

The BGAV serves more than 1,300 member churches with a combined membership of more than 600,000 congregants.

An innovative leader in the BGAV for 21 years prior to his call as its executive director, Faison holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Florida and MDiv and DMin degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

The senior pastor at East End Baptist Church in Suffol for 13 years, Faison is married to Carmen Clark Faison, and the couple has two adult children.

The BGAV is celebrating 200 years of God’s blessings during its annual meeting at Bon Air Baptist Church, Richmond, Nov. 13-15.
