Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 217-3.B(3)of the Code of the City of Lexington, that violations exist at 413 Carruthers Street in the City of Lexington (TM# 17-1-123). The property is considered a nuisance per Section 217-3, and the owner is given until November 17, 2023 to abate the nuisance items stored on the property. If the nuisance items are not timely removed, the City of Lexington will remove said nuisance items and charge the owner for the costs of removal in accordance with Section 217-3.C. Additionally, there are inoperable vehicles stored on the subject parcel in violation of Section 39494 of the Code of the City of Lexington and the owner is given until November 24, 2023 to remove said inoperable vehicles. If the inoperable vehicles are not timely removed, the City of Lexington will remove all of the nuisance items and charge the owner for the costs of removal in accordance with Section 394-94.B(1). AN APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF LEXINGTON PROPOSING A PRELIMINARY SUBDIVISION PLAT (BOUNDARY LINE ADJUSTMENT) FOR PARCELS LOCATED AT 140 EVERGREEN PLACE (TAX PARCELS # 311-1) AND 108 EVERGREEN PLACE (TAX PARCEL # 25-1-9) IN LEXINGTON, VIRGINIA A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council at a meeting to begin at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 19, 2023 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to an application by the City of Lexington requesting the application of a preliminary subdivision plat (boundary line adjustment) to adjust the boundary line to add a 1.855 acre portion of Tax Parcel # 31-1-1 to Tax Parcel # 25-1-9. Arne Glaeser Director of Planning and Development [email protected] City of Lexington Notice of Public Hearing Amendment of Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia, to solicit input on Ordinance 2023-12 amending the FY 2023 budget from $49,130,277 to $55,402,994. The largest appropriations proposed in this request are $1,728,918 to the Equipment Replacement Fund for the purchase of the new ladder truck and $2,387,911 to the Capital Projects Fund for bridge repairs. Other appropriations include year-end true up payments to the Virginia Horse Center and RARO, as well as grant monies awarded to the Police Department and School Board. Copies of the Ordinances may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office in City Hall at 300 E. Washington Street.
