Editor, The News-Gazette: We’re not at all surprised to learn that the reporter you have mentored, Hope Huger, won first place in the feature series category for weekly newspapers of 6,000-9,000 circulation in the National Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper contest for her series on the Hosting Ukrainian Families (HUF) effort here.
She’s been first place in our book ever since she wrote her first article on HUF.
As you know better than we do, she’s quick to understand, incredibly talented in putting words together, and, above all, a reporter who can be “trusted.”
Congratulations to Matt Paxton’s The News-Gazette, to you, Mr. Editor, and especially to Hope, her parents, Sue Ann and George, and the whole Huger clan.
Wow, what a credit to Lexington!
As her grandmother, Mary Huger Honsinger and Navy captain husband, Chip Honsinger would say, “Bravo Zulu.” A big well-done in Navy jargon. ANN and JERRY NAY Hosting Ukrainian Families
