The youths at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church met after church for an afternoon of fun. After enjoying lunch together, they headed out to Peaks of Otter for a hike and then drove back home for dinner. Thanks to Tim and Janeen Welsh for all the work they do with the youths.
New Monmouth Praise Choir (children) will continue to meet after church on Sundays. Laura Hotinger will meet with the children (and any willing adults) this Sunday to clean the hand bells.
Here are some details about Renewal Weekend: Friday, Nov. 3, 5 p.m., we will have a chili dinner with cornbread and pie for dessert, followed by campfire songs. Chili will be provided; the congregation is asked to bring cornbread or a pie to share.
Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. is the morning renewal session, and at 2 p.m. we will have special guest speaker Karen Swallow Prior.
Sunday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. is Music Sunday (with communion), followed by potluck lunch (chicken provided). The congregation is asked to bring a side dish to share.

Nov. 12 ‒ Stewardship Sunday; Nov. 19 ‒ Thanksgiving service at 5 p.m. (note a different time we’re trying out for this rather than 6 p.m.); Saturday, Dec. 2 ‒ Advent wreath making at 2 p.m..
