Welcome back to the Rev. Margie Anderson of Big Island who delivered the message this past Sunday at High Bridge Presbyterian Church. She will return as guest pastor on Oct. 29.

The pastor nominating committee presented a pastor after the service this Sunday and the congregation voted to accept their recommendation. Also, the church officer nominating committee was elected to select elders and deacons class of 2026.

Also, on the 29th, the Fifth Sunday Mission Offering will be collected to assist the Rev. Paul Sydnor who is posted in Turkey.

Weekday Religious Education will be hosting a Themed Basket Bingo (a total of 12 baskets) on Nov. 4 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department. This will include bingo, a bake sale and door prizes.

Children’s Ministry leader Donna Lotts has scheduled a trunk-or-treat event for Sunday, Oct. 29, after morning worship. Lunch will be provided for the children and volunteers are needed to decorate and supply treats.

Visitors are welcome to the Small Church Gathering with Bible study leader Joe Hawes on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. This will probably be the last study for the year.

A big thanks to the volunteers at the fall festival at Timber Ridge. They made apple butter and Brunswick stew, washed jars, donated baked goods and yard sale items. Thanks also to participating food and craft vendors and attendees. The benefits will be used to support local food pantries.

The Natural Bridge Ruritan Club Halloween raffle/cakewalk will be held at the Natural Bridge firehouse on Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. The Women’s Auxiliary will sell meals at the event. Doors open at 5 p.m. Cakewalk starts at 6.

A memorial service for Cora Lewis will be held Friday, Nov. 3, at 1 p.m. at High Bridge Church. A reception will follow at the fellowship hall.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, Oct. 28, from 9 to 11 a.m.
