Patrick Eugene Rhodes of Buena Vista, born April 26, 1954, went home on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

He leaves behind his loving bride of 48 years, Sharon Smith Rhodes; his “sweet pea” Stephanie Rhodes Tyree and husband, Jeff; his “booger bear” Christopher Leon Rhodes; and perhaps his most precious family are his grandson, Dylan Patrick Tyree and granddaughter, Britney Nicole Tyree; and his four legged companion, Aaron.

In lieu of flowers, please send monetary donations to Rockbridge Area Hospice.  The family would love to personally thank everyone from hospice for their tireless, loving, and relentless support over the last five years.  Special thanks to Hope Wilmore, Jordan Sorrels, Crystal Knick, Christie Gibson and Carrie Claytor.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, at Marlbrook Baptist Church in Raphine by Pastor John Tilley.
